Tennessee native Ginger Marie Wilson writes faith-based children’s books, derived from fairytale classic stories like Alice in Wonderland and Hansel and Gretel.

With much of her family residing in the area, Ginger Marie has strong ties to Marshall County. Always a person of faith, she decided to put decades of Godly dreams, visions and biblically-related comparisons down on paper.

“I started writing children’s books in a Godly way,” she explained. “Not sure why, I guess because I’m a Christian.”

Ginger claimed the premise for her books came from watching movies and making comparisons straight from the Bible, relating the horse of a different color from The Wizard of Oz to the four different-colored horses from the Book of Revelation, for example.

“It started off as a little joke I made with God,” she said. “But then he told me that this is what I’m meant to do. It’s what I’m here for.”

As such, her first self-published book, called "Devil, the Wizard of Lies," hit Amazon earlier this year. She has now written and illustrated ten books, all in the summer of 2020.

Ginger Marie hopes her books serve to “educate people about the Bible and the truth of mankind.”

Her books are sold exclusively on Amazon.
