The Whole Backstage Theatre will host a special online streaming video of the holiday classic, “A Christmas Carol – A Radio Play,” directed by Johnny Brewer, for the weekend of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

This adaptation of the Dickens masterpiece may be purchased and viewed anywhere, in this recorded online format of the recent WBS production.

“With the WBS partnering with the USO and the Salvation Army in this endeavor, we especially hope that our troops abroad and at home will access and watch this special streaming production. This online broadcast is a perfect way to include family and friends of all ages, to watch this treasured and touching, timeless tale, together at home,” Brewer said.

Denton Gillen, technical director and online streaming coordinator, stated, “For this limited Christmas streaming event, we will bring to you a 1940s era vintage radio show version of this Dickens story, complete with ghosts, onstage sound effects, and music. The link will be live the morning of December 24 through the evening of December 25. This could be a great gift idea to purchase and send to someone, or for personal viewing.”
