I’m going to have my eyebrows dyed. I can’t hardly see them anymore, and my eyesight doesn’t work too well in drawing a line on them with eyebrow pencil.
A friend suggested that I should have new eyebrows tattooed on my face. It would be permanent.
It wouldn’t work for me. I hate additional pain, for one thing. And permanent would mean my hair color would change but my eyebrows wouldn’t. They would be permanently noticeable. So, no tattooing! And to tell you the truth, I’m not all that modern.
Dyeing is a big step for me. Even though the dye would wash out, I’d still have that time period when they aren’t just right. They can’t be perfect.
This is a leap of faith, friends. I don’t want to look washed out in my old age. I should accent my eyes so I look more interesting at 84 years old. The rest of my face has too many wrinkles to be salvaged.
Along with the eyebrows, I need to be more masterful with eyeshadow. Again, it seems that applying color and eyesight go hand in hand. I don’t even out very well.
I probably don’t have the right stuff for my aging eyes. I look at products and think I should try them, but they end up in a plastic bag of stuff that I will eventually get rid of. And this is stuff that hasn’t really been used! I should add up the costs on them to see how much cash is languishing there.
I should learn more about using cosmetics. Young people now know all the tricks of application. When I was young, lipstick and maybe some blush was the standard. Now, it’s everything that gets blended with a collection of brushes made just for that particular application.
I’ve seen makeup cases with various facial tools and jars of cosmetics that are filled to the brim. It’s almost like an extra suitcase when they travel.
I can put my stuff in a large plastic sandwich bag.
In mentioning my eyes, I’m not into mascara. Maybe I should be to look more dynamic.
I have continuing problems with the stuff. I start out pretty well, but soon I have dark rings under my eyes. I usually discover that at a gala event in the first mirror I pass.
I need the help of a professional makeup artist. I long for a makeover and someone to keep me looking like a new woman. It would be challenging for the professional, I would expect.
Is it worth it to get this old lady dolled up and fashionable? What will she do when I’m not around?
Yes, those are the questions popping up in my mind. I want to see what anyone could do with my features. It’s a little late in the life of my face, but it would be an adventure.
With improvements, people may think I’m 75!
