I have to believe that every woman loves a sale. I sure do! It’s that one in a million of getting some item, especially clothing, for under $10.
Two friends and I decided to try out a consignment shop in our area. They were advertised as near designer caliber women’s clothing.
I figured there would be $150 items for $75. I got a big surprise.
Big name brands I found were $9. I loaded up.
The store was big with racks and racks of everything you could think of in women’s fashion. I was getting tired out flipping hangers.
The outing was like a treasure hunt. The next hanger could be the buy of a lifetime.
I have a friend who wears the cutest clothes. When I ask her where she got it, she usually answers a consignment shop or a thrift store. And she will always include the itsy-bitsy price she paid for it.
I admit I’m a latecomer to these places, but I’m amazed what women find there. They’re all one-of-a-kind selections. And these kinds of shops are all around the country.
As I wandered around the shop, I noticed dozens of women with their arms loaded with tops, actually overflowing! It was all orderly and quiet, not like big sales elsewhere.
I had fun looking around and finding a bunch of bargains. The experience was a good one.
After that stop, we ventured to another store in search of additional sale items. It was not a cheapie store.
Their sale racks were still pretty expensive. I noticed a cute tee shirt and decided to check the price. It was $64 marked down to $49.
I laughed to myself. I have a bag in the car with 5 fashionable tops that cost me $35 and some change.
It does pay to be frugal, and I do love a sale!
