Mr. Michael Reese of the A.B.C. Board spoke to the public at the Guntersville Seventh Day Adventist Church on March 30, 2019. He spoke on the dangers of synthetic drugs and other drugs in the community. He will speak again on May 16 at 5:30 p.m. at Guntersville Seventh Day Adventist Church. It is free and all are welcome.


The cemetery decoration days are scheduled for May 4-5. The Cemetery Committee is asking for donations to help with the summer cleaning of the cemetery.


Keep Guntersville Beautiful will host the Annual Great American Cleanup on Monday, May 6, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. (rain date is Wednesday, May 8). Volunteers may come to the parking lot near the bridge at the Guntersville Harbor to sign-in and get supplies or contact Nicole at (256) 571-7598 ahead of time to adopt an area to pick-up at their convenience.

Individuals and groups adopting an area for an alternate day can make arrangements with Nicole to get supplies and send photos of themselves picking-up and bag count.

Also, LCCO is asking those who reside in the Lakeview Community to join in the efforts of keeping Guntersville beautiful by cleaning up around your home and neighborhood on this day as well.

St. Minor

St. Minor Primitive Baptist Church will observe Senior Day Sunday, May 5, at 11:00 A.M. The guest minister will be Elder Sammie Milton. Plus, the Senior Adult Ministry will be presenting “Glory Train.” All are welcome.

The St. Minor Clothing Pantry will open Monday, May 6, at noon. There is a new selection of spring and summer clothing in all sizes: shoes, sandals, purses, capris, and more. All are welcome, and all items are free.
