Chad Bryant and Jamie Chamblee were married Oct. 25, at the Southern Psalms Barn in Snead, Ala. It was a beautiful wedding with vows being exchanged outdoors. The brilliance and radiance of the fall plants and trees were a beautiful background for the ceremony. A reception/dinner followed in “The Barn” After a honeymoon to St. Lucas, they are making their home in Albertville.
Patsy Walley went with a group of family and friends to the Christmas Village Festival at the Civic Center in Birmingham.
Faye Smith and cousins from Fyffe, enjoyed a cruise/meal on the Southern Bell Riverboat in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Hannah Carroll is working in Knoxville, Tenn. She is a nurse practitioner.
Millie and Thomas Carroll drove to Tyler, Texas for a short visit with son Nathan and Bethany Carroll.
Erika Richards is working in Opelika, Ala.
Dex Richards won the Distinguished Student Veteran Award from Montana Tech University.
Dex is back in Montana after going with the College Petro Bowl to Amsterdam.
We have a new author in our community. Joyce Osborn Wilson has just released 3 books through Kindle Publishing on Amazon. “The Twisted Mind” is a story about her mother’s plight with dementia. She logged 10 years documenting how she managed the stress with the disease. “In the Sweet By and By” is the story of her mother, from a family of 16, surviving the most poverty-stricken area of the Appalachian of Harlan County, Kentucky. “Take a Walk Through Life with LED Light” is about how she invented her BriteWhite Teeth Whitening Systems using LEDs (light emitting diodes). Randy and Faye Smith had the Smith family Thanksgiving Sunday. This was an annual event his mother Edith had for many years and Randy, Faye and Sandy are continuing the tradition. Many from our community were in the 70 attending. Sandy and Justin Freidman came from Boca Raton, Florida.
Phillip and Beth Todd flew to San Jose, California, and rode back to Albertville with their daughter Katy. Katy has finished 2 traveling nurse assignments at Lucille Packard Hospital at Stanford in Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care. They helped Katy get her car and items back home. They saw as many sights as possible for the time they had, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, surfers and sea lions. Traveling Highway 1 they saw Big Sur, sites in Arizona and the big one, the Grand Canyon at sunset. After several days of driving, they were home and back to work.
Violet Heath’s brother is home after being in the Riverside Hospital in Gadsden.
Jarrod Bryant was home for a few days. The family had Thanksgiving Nov. 22. While here, Jarrod went to a friend’s wedding in Cullman.
Debbie Martin from Clanton was here visiting her brother Howard and Pat Arledge for a few days.
Edgar and Patsy Ballew and Edgar’s daughter Marsha and Mike King went to Gulf Shores for a few days.
