A wreck in Alder Springs caused some traffic delays last Thursday.

66-year-old Sammy Havron Nabors was driving a 2016 Ford Focus when he failed to yield the right-of-way from the stop sign controlled intersection at Vandergriff Road and Hustleville Highway right in front of Alder Springs Baptist Church, state troopers said.

Nabors was attempting to travel westbound on Hustleville Highway when he was struck by 38-year-old Dustin Wade Puckett in a 1992 Chevrolet truck. There was another passenger injured as well as the other two, 35-year-old Jeremy LaWayne Puckett.

Alder Springs Volunteer Fire Department along with four ambulances were called to the scene. Life Flight was called to the scene but was soon called off.

The Pucketts went to Huntsville Hospital by ambulance, and Nabors went to Marshall Medical North by ambulance.

Their conditions were unknown this week.
