Keith and Kay Swisher and Andrew, Jamie, Garrett, Alyssa and Eli Christie attended the community Easter supper at Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department hosted by Haney's Chapel Church. The First Baptist Pickers from Guntersville provided the entertainment and most everyone won a door prize. The fire department had smoked hams.

The Swishers had two Easter egg hunts this year for the grandchildren. Jones, Garrett and Alyssa hunted on Saturday. Pop Pop Keith had been hitting golf balls on his driving range, also known as his front pasture, and needed them picked up before moving the cows so he gave them 5 cents for white balls, $1 for color balls and he also had a prize ball with a cola symbol on it. They each found a bucket full as Pop Pop, Granna, Andrew, JamIe, Eli, Jana and Chris watched.
