Mrs. Clara Margie Lee Winkels, age 96, of Grant, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020.

Funeral services will be held today (Saturday) at 2 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brandon Gamble and Rev. Joe David Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Gunter Mountain Memory Garden. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday at Grant Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Winkels is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann Sharp; brother, Avery Winkles; sister, Veda Chapman; grandchildren, Robby Moody (Karen), Teri Moody (Randy), Kristi Daniel (Bryan), Cassie Watkins (Lamar), Scott Crabtree (Kelly), Glenda Cotton (Aaron), Erica McIntyre (Mark), and Benji Saint (Brianna); great grandchildren, Stella Moody, Emily Campbell, Sarah Campbell, Maddison Bell, Elijah Bell, Gavin Daniel, Breanna Gilbert, Chase Daniel, Jacob Sutton, Jonathan Sutton, Miranda McCowan (Cody), Analee Murphy (Rowan), Taylor Redden (Matthew), Dakota “Koty” Sayre (Karrington), Emalie “Kayla” Carter (Tyler), Charlotte Cotton, Vinessa Cotton, Emma Winkels, Sydney Winkels, Aiden Winkels, Brandon Williams, Dylan Williams, Collin Williams, and Randall Miller; and 17 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Winkels; children, Clara Faye Ward, Elizabeth Joanette Saint, Larry Earnest Winkels, and Troyce Levon Winkles; brothers, Freeman Winkles, Arlon Winkles, Ephraim Winkles, Elbert Winkles; sisters, Elizabeth Fields and Vera Butler; four siblings lost at birth; parents, Lee Winkles and Viola Coburn Winkles; stepmother, Maggie McCormick Winkles; grandchildren, Kevin Moody, Aziah Cotton, J.D. Sharp, Barbara Sue Sharp; and Lacey Edwards; great grandchildren, Anna Miller and Joey Miller; and 2 great great grandchildren.
