Dean Grayson's daughter, Jessica Grayson Goble, is having a birthday on Valentine's Day. Dean was able to talk to her cousin, Dennis Campbell's wife, Charlotte from Henegar, for nearly two hours. Dennis is deceased so she and Charlotte caught up with the latest news concerning the family.
Violet Heath's grandson, Andy, paid her a visit on Saturday. She is not feeling well.
Leon McCoy is recuperating well after knee surgery. He is even driving some.
I talked to some of my cousins in Scottsboro last week. I found out my cousin, Barbara Ann Powell, had died last October 25 and none of us knew. My cousin, Sammy Clemons, who lives in Columbus, Mississippi, called this morning to tell me of another cousin's death. Her name is Sarah Alford of Phoeba, Mississippi. She died in her sleep after a stroke.
Cleo Pendergrass of Derrick Drive is having some health problems.
Joy and Rodger Horton's son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Rose Taylor of East Peoria, Illinois, sent them a care package of dried beans and noodles.
Bakers Chapel Baptist Church had a speaker from Samford College to speak for them last Sunday morning. His name was Cal Reebals.
I called an old friend and former neighbor recently, Donald Watson. He lives in Guntersville and teaches a men's Sunday School Class at Guntersville First Baptist Church. We had a long conversation about others that we had known. Many of them have already died.
Deborah Moore's granddaughter, Mikayla Meeks, is having a problem with high blood pressure.
Bakers Chapel Baptist Women met at the church for their monthly missionary meeting. Those present were Dorit Campbell, Delores Moore, Jacee White, Bessie Law, Carolyn Cook, Beth Hilliard, Melissa Fisher, Kay Anderton, Frances Wrenn, Louise Beard, Rita Graham, Betty Ratchford and Deborah Moore.
