Kate Duncan Smith DAR School, Inc. this week announced the appointment of Jason Hodges as Development Director.
Hodges will have the primary responsibility for all fundraising activities and constituent communications with the goal of generating diversified and sustainable income to achieve the school’s mission.
Jason is a 1997 graduate of KDS. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 2002. Since graduation, he has accumulated more than 16 years of experience in the graphic design and marketing industry through his freelance business. Jason also gained experience in fundraising during his three years as chairman of the Grant Playground and Recreation Association (GPRA), which is an organization founded to provide support for Kidtopia Playground in Grant.
On accepting the position at KDS, Mr. Hodges said, “I am humbled and honored to work for the school that has been such a big part of my entire life, and I look forward to doing my part to ensure that the special place known as the gem of Gunter Mountain continues to shine for generations to come.”
Jason has been married to Kathie Hodges, a 1996 KDS graduate, for 21 years and has three children – two of whom, Regan and Reid, currently attend KDS and one, Riley, who is a 2022 KDS graduate. He and his family live in Grant.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, and relic hunting.
Mr. Hodges began his position as KDS Development Director on August 1. He replaces Beth Cagle who retired at the beginning of June.
