Will Smith presented books to the Crain Court Leadership Center for Black History Month on behalf of the Lakeview Community Civic Organization. Mr. Smith had wanted to donate something to the center and chose February (Black History Month) to do so. His contribution of books focuses on the many contributions of African Americans and the celebration of the African American experiences.
The community clean-up is rescheduled for today, February 15. Please meet at the Williamson-Harris Park at 10:30 A.M.
The Black History Month Program is Sunday, February 16, at 2 P.M. at the Guntersville Museum and Cultural Center.
The Lakeview Community Civic Organization 2020 scholarship applications are now available. The deadline to apply is April 3. To request a copy, contact an LCCO board member by phone, in person, on Facebook (Lakeviewcco) or by email at Lakeviewcivic1@gmail.com.
The St. Minor Primitive Baptist Church Clothing Pantry is open on Mondays from 12-5. All are welcome, and all items are free.
