The Lilies of the Valley Ladies Club met at the Cracker Barrel in Guntersville for their January meeting Those attending were Suzanne Baker, Jean Cooper, Phyllis Baker, Nellie Dubose, Roberta Stout, Anne Hybob, Paullette Smith, Patsy Ingle and Tillie White.
Micky and Chubby’s Restaurant at Five Points has closed They will be missed.
The Birthday Club met at the Buenavista in Scotsboro. It was Nellie Dubose’s birthday. Those attending were Kay Phelps, Jan Dougherty, Nellie Dubose, Paulette Smith, Ann Hybob, Margaret Hoffman, Betty Miller, Sandra Walker and Roberta Stout.
Erlene McCormick, formerly of Mt Lakes Resort, passed away last Sunday. A graveside service was held in Huntsville on Wednesday.
Carl Williams has been in Marshall North Hospital.
Phyllis Baker has been in Birmingham Hospital.
