Bill Brooks of Rockmart, Georgia, is coming to Mt. Lakes Resort Saturday, August 4, at 7 p.m. He is an Elvis entertainer. He sings Elvis the first half and country the second half of his show. It is open to the public. You can purchase tickets at the office and at the gate for $5.

The Langston Post Office has new hours. They are Monday through Friday 8:00-noon and Saturday 8:00-10:00 a.m. Outgoing mail is collected at 11:30 Monday through Friday and at 10:00 on Saturday in the inside lobby box and at 11:30 from the outside collection box.

Janette McCain passed away March 12th. She and her husband Melvin lived in the permanent sites at Mtn. Lakes resort for over 20 years. She had been in the Huntsville Hospital for five days. She was 84. The funeral was in Sylacauga, Ala. She was a member of the South Sauty Baptist Church.

South Sauty Café hosted a community children’s Christmas party Saturday, Dec. 12. Over 100 children were present. Thomas Drunhard told the Christmas story. There was a pinata. Al and Debbie Reeves took part. The Langston children presented caroling at the café Friday night.
