The GHS Crimson Guard was invited to march in Governor Kay Ivey’s Inaugural Parade. The band was notified through a letter that invited them to participate with other outstanding band programs throughout the state.
The students, faculty and parents who were in attendance said that the Crimson Guard did not disappoint and represented the Wildcats with smiles on their faces.
This is another accomplishment for this group as they have worked hard and put in the time and effort it takes to build a successful band program. Mr. Hyman, the GHS band director, said that he is beyond proud of this group, and they deserve to enjoy this moment and honor to be a part of such a symbolic parade.
