This week’s announcements are the following:

The Spanish Club and AP Spanish Class will be selling Pulseras again this year to help the people of Nicaragua and Central America. The bracelets are $5 each and will be sold during lunch.

The Miss Guntersville Scholarship Program will be held today (Saturday) at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 and admission is $5 at the door.

The Guntersville Wildcat basketball players are getting ready to start their season. They have been practicing day in and day out preparing to win as one team. Last night, the football team played Hamilton after their big win over the Albertville Aggies. The first basketball games are scheduled for November 15, but may possibly be moved if the football team advances. Here’s the schedule for the first games:

9th Grade Boys at 5:15 — Guntersville Middle School Gym

JV Girls at 4:30 — Guntersville High School Gym

JV Boys at 4:00 — Guntersville Middle School Gym

Varsity Girls at 5:45 — Guntersville High School Gym

Varsity Boys at 7:15 — Guntersville High School Gym

Our crosscountry team is still running strong as well! Go out and support the varsity cross country team today (Saturday) in Oakville.

Miss Guntersville Program

The Miss Guntersville Scholarship Program will be held at the Guntersville High School tonight. Doors will open at 5:30 and the show will begin at 6:00. Admission is $5 at the door. The contestants that are participating in the program will be Emma Chinchar, Anna Bodine, Ansley Keller, Katelyn Quigley, Zoie Hampton, Esther Laguerr, Andreann Tranquini, Meagan Mosley, Diamond Jamison, Abigail Gaston, Mamie Patton, Josie Clay, Millie Claire Woodard, Madalyn Stott, Jennifer Jordan, Sydney Haithcock, Katherine Coville and Lilli Grace Reeves.

Please come out and support these talented young women. We would like to thank Lake Guntersville Dentistry, LLC for supplying the generous $1,500 scholarship that will be awarded to the winner to use at a college or university of her choice. Another thank you goes to Bubba’s II, Guntersville Feed Store, and Rodney’s Florist for helping with tuxes and greenery. Please come and support these young women tonight. And the winner is...
