Karen Wright’s class from Douglas Elementary School had the option to write about catching a turkey, the lack of turkey for Santa, inviting someone to dinner and what they are thankful for. Here were their answers:Â
How do you catch a turkey for Thanksgiving?
This Thanksgiving morning, I ate a lot of bad breakfast. I threw up a lot! It was spoiled sausage, bad bacon, old eggs and molded grape juice. I thought I might not get a turkey and fix the bad breakfast to them and I not eat. Everybody ate. It turned around.

For Thanksgiving, I will kill the turkeys. Then I skin them. I will take the organs out. Then I wash out the blood. We cook the turkey in the over. Check the temperature and fix some sides, could be taters or apple pie or green beans for carrots. And that is how we love our Thanksgiving meal. I will love to hear how you celebrate Thanksgiving.

Mrs. Claus made a feast, but the turkey was a disaster. It was burnt! The rest of the food was great. There was a cake and sausages and coffee and the burnt turkey and bread rolls and tomatoes. So in the end they liked it.

If you could invite anyone in the history of the world to Thanksgiving dinner, living or not, who would it be and why?
If I could invite anybody it would be my sisters and my great great grandma because I want to talk and see them in real life.
