Over the past two weeks, the Alder Springs Volunteer Fire Department has been very busy dealing with everything from barn, structure and brush fires.

On Sunday, July 10, a reported barn fire right at daybreak, had them call in neighboring Albertville Fire Department for back up. They believe a possible lightening strike from Saturday evening's storms might have cused the fire. Due to the rapid action of the departments, the barn and trailers were spared.
