The Alabama High School Athletic Association is holding its All-Star week this week and 6 athletes from Guntersville High have been selected to participate.

All-Star Week showcases the top soon-to-be senior athletes in the state, pitting them on teams that are divided by North and South. The games are a reward for those top senior athletes, as well as a chance at potential college exposure across each of the events.

Guntersville athletes in the games are:

Golf - John Bruce and Regan Lefeve

Tennis – Lilly Brown

Basketball – Cooper Davidson

Cross Country - Lauren Barrentine and Kenlie Nelson

Also playing from Marshall County are:

Tennis - Masen Howard of Douglas and Andrew Shankles of Albertville

Soccer - Daisy Balcazar Garcia of Albertville

Guntersville track and cross country coach Chris Bashaw will be honored at the All-Star Sports Week banquet with the 5A “Making a Difference” award. He is a volunteer coach who regularly re-arranges his work duties so that he can coach.
