Christopher Ray Kelley, 31, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, felony assault 2nd – assault on a police officer, misdemeanor attempting to elude a police officer, misdemeanor resisting arrest, misdemeanor tampering with physical evidence and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.
According to the Guntersville Police report, Kelley was driving a motorcycle with no tag. They attempted to pull him over for the lack of a tag, but Kelley drove away. He took off while the police followed him. Kelley crashed in a ditch where he was found by the police.
After he was found, he attempted to run again before the police placed him under arrest.
Kelley was arrested by Sgt. Justin Young of the Guntersville Police Department at the intersection of Red Barn Road and Leonard Road.
Curtis Lavon Spurgeon, 45, was charged with felony cocaine sell/distribute, felony methamphetamine sell/distribute, felony chemical endangerment of child and drug paraphernalia first offense.
According to the police report, Spurgeon was arrested by Sgt. Justin Young on Cedar Ridge Drive.
Otis May Thomas, 50, was charged with felony assault first degree.
According to the police report, Thomas was arrested by Patrolman Jamie Smith on Wiggs Street.
