Three basketball players from Albertville High School were selected to participate in the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s first ever “Elite 100 Basketball Showcase.”

The showcase was Saturday with the boys playing at Hoover High and the girls at Spain Park.

The purpose was simple: to give top returning Alabama high school basketball players vital instruction and to expose them to college coaches who will be in attendance.

“This is not an AAU or third-party endeavor,” the AHSAA said in a statement. “The Showcase has also been designated a State Camp for AHSAA contest officials with 36 selected for specialized training.”

The Albertville players attending the Showcase were:

Boys

Trinity Bell, jr., 6’7’

Dane Harding, sr., 6’6”

Girls

Grace Kelley, sr.,

Grace is the granddaughter of Guntesville City Councilman Phil Kelley.
