New Barbers

Owner Drew Godfrey (left) and Barber Nate Pruett are shown in the original Handshake Barber Shop in Arab. They're expanding to Guntersville and Nate like Drew, will split time between Arab and the new shop in Guntersville.

When Arab resident Drew Godfrey decided to start his own barber shop, he knew exactly what type of mood he wanted it to have: A modern barber shop with an old school vibe. And that’s just what he created with Handshake Barber & Supply.

Now, three years after he opened his first shop in Arab, Drew is opening a second location in Guntersville. The new Handshake Barber & Supply will open upstairs at Bakers on Main on March 15.
