If there’s ever been a business quite like it in Guntersville, it has been awhile.
Mob Squad Garage held its grand opening in the Lake City Friday afternoon. It specializes in performance parts for automobiles and motorcycles, whether it’s something you’re going to race or just your everyday grocery-getter.
Melvin “Frogg” Rogers is the proprietor. His wife Tessa Rogers and daughter Hanna Rogers will help man the front counter and sell and order merchandise. Chris Baugh and Rickey Rollings Jr. are Frogg’s main help in the shop. To say everyone is excited about the possibilities of the new venture is an understatement.
“I live at Grant and I really like Guntersville,” Frogg said. “We got to looking around for a place to do this and Guntersville just seemed like a good fit. Everyone has been so good to me here.”
Frogg and his friends have been around racing all their lives.
“My dad was Melvin Rogers of Huntsville, who built cars there,” Frogg said.
Mob Squad sells performance parts, performance fuels, nitro, helmets, jackets and more. If it has to do with automotive or motorcycle performance, they have it, can get it and can install it.
The shop is located at 1215 Blount Avenue. The shop phone number is 256-486-9098 Frogg’s cell phone is 256-694-5399 and Chris can be reached at 256-486-8011.
