Joshua David Harbin needed a change in his life. He found it in window cleaning, a career he absolutely loves.
By Anthony Campbell31-year-old Joshua David Harbin wanted a change in life, he wanted more than he had.
And he knew owning his own business was the best way to achieve that.
“My background is in engineering, but a guy offered me some money to wash some windows,” Harbin said. “I did it and it stuck. I have a deep desire for this business now and I love it.”
He and his wife Mary started Ultimate Window Cleaning in 2016 in Guntersville and the business has been growing ever since. Mary stays home with their children now, but three other employees have joined the business – Tommy Downs, Troy Downs and Zach Painter.
“They are all outstanding individuals who will go above and beyond for me,” Harbin said.
While they wash windows in Guntersville, they also operate in Huntsville and some of the other surrounding areas. Buildings they’ve done include Foodland, the Wyndham Garden, City Center in Huntsville and more. The business runs two cleaning trucks and crews.
They clean windows up to 80 feet in the air – 6 stories – mostly using a boom truck.
“We did one in Gunters Landing not too long ago that we could not get to with a boom truck,” Harbin said. “We had a 40-foot ladder and a 30-foot pole to do the job, which was 60 feet up. We love what we do and we are dedicated to it.”
They’re licensed and insured and offer free estimates. The phone number is 256-557-4017.
