Sheriff’s deputies arrested the same man on drug charges twice just 3 days apart, assistant chief deputy Steve Guthrie said.
On June 29, Michael Christopher Gray of Scottsboro was arrested on Highway 79-N. Guthrie said Gray was walking into traffic on the highway. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance (suboxone)and public intoxication. Gray made a $2,500 bond and was released from the county jail.
Then on July 1, the sheriff’s office received a call that a white male was knocking on doors on Highway 79-N.
“Deputies responded and again found Michael Christopher Gray at the location and again he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and Lyrica),” Guthrie said.
Gray was again charged and his bond was revoked from the previous case.
