An Albertville man has been charged with possession of meth by sheriff's deputies.

Earlier this month, Deputy John Brasher was patrolling back roads of Albertville and located a white male standing near some storage units of a trailer park, assistant chief deputy Steve Guthrie said.

This man was identified as Roy Franklin Daugette and, after running the his name, it was determined that Daugette had warrants out of Albertville, Guthrie said.

He was then cuffed and a small amount of methamphetamine was recovered from his pocket. Daugette was charged with unlawfull possession of a controlled substance and held for Albertville Police.
