In the Aug. 17 issue of The Advertiser-Gleam, the exemption to the new county car tag fee was not stated exactly right.

We said:”The exemptions are vehicles registered to those that are 65-years or older and who have a 100 percent disability determination from the Social Security Administration.”

It should have said the exemptions are for those who are on 100 percent disability and/or those who are 65 years or older. All people who are 100 percent on disability are exempt. All people over the age of 65 or older are also exempt.

As an alert reader pointed out, and or or can make a big difference in legal language.
