Orange for Leukemia

Marshall County Board of Education members wore orange at this week's school board meeting to support Douglas student, Hallie Roden, who has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. From left are Bill Hancock, Mark Rains, Joe Vam Bunch and Marshall County Superintendent Cindy Wigley.

The Marshall County School Board met briefly this week and only had positive remarks on their current financial status going into the upcoming school year.

"On our financial situation, it's unbelievable where we've come to from where we were a year ago," said board member Bill Hancock. "The hard work that not just Bob but this whole staff puts in. Bob is fantastic at what he does. I don't know how many people know all the financials he handles but he really does a great job."
