Getting a table at Crawmama’s on the weekends might prove to be a challenge these days. It’s no wonder the Guntersville seafood restaurant won two 2022 Best of the Best Reader’s Choice Poll Awards; one for best seafood and one for best caterer.

When Charlotte Webb started Crawmama’s in 1987, she sold only steamed shrimp and raw and baked oysters out of a van on the weekends in front of what is now the Big Lots in Guntersville. With no fryer or grill, it was a far cry from the always bustling seafood restaurant – with room for 300 – that exists today.
