There are two ways to be certain that you’re ready to vote in just 64 days.
This Labor Day, either drive-thru or relax under the pavilion as the Marshall County Democratic Club presents its annual Picnic & Politics event at County Park #1 in Guntersville.
• Follow the signs and take the drive-thru to simply register to vote or update your voter registration, get a 2022 Alabama Voter Guide, apply to have your voter’s rights restored, and pick up an absentee ballot application. You’ll also receive a free pocket-size copy of the U.S. Constitution.
• Park it under the trees for the picnic and politics portion of the day. Enjoy a free hot dog, chips, and lemonade under Pavilion B while you listen to speeches from Democratic nominees. Federal, state and local candidate yard signs will be available along with opportunities to donate and volunteer.
The event is Monday, September 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. County Park #1 is located at 19348 U.S. 431, Guntersville. Pavilion B can also be accessed on Yacht Club Road.
The Marshall County Democratic Club is the heart and soul of the local party. Members meet monthly, fund two annual educational scholarships, sponsor the county’s most visible Adopt-A-Mile litter pickup, volunteer to protect elections, and dedicated to educating voters on the issues that matter.
