Two former Marshall County athletes were among several Gadsden State athletes named to  the Alabama Community College Conference Fall 2020 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll by achieving a 3.00 GPA or higher, the school recently announced.

Former Asbury basketball player Grace Walters mad the student athlete honor roll as did Douglas tennis player Taylor Walls.

“It’s very rewarding, year after to year, to see our student-athletes continue to excel academically,” said Mike Cancilla, athletic director. “This year has presented many challenges and these students have stepped up to meet the challenge. We are very proud of all of our athletes and their coaches who play an important part in the success of the student and the athlete.”
