Edward Dye

Edward Lamar Dye, 75, of Guntersville, passed away at his residence Monday, November 4, 2019.

Edward was born in Cullman, Alabama, and graduated from Cullman High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army, serving in Vietnam.

Mr. Dye was retired from Parker Hannifin after 37 years as a supervisor and quick response coordinator. He retired to Guntersville in 2002 to enjoy his hobbies of hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved Alabama football.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Marie Dye; daughter, Celena Kirkwood (Steven); step-son, David Whitener (Allison); mother, Helen Dye; brother, Keith Dye (Jane); and grandchildren, Corey Kirkwood, Brandon Kirkwood, Sierra Kirkwood and Grace Whitener.

A memorial visitation was held Friday, November 8, at Guntersville Memorial Chapel.
