Eli Spray

Mr. Elisha Calvin Spray, but better know as Eli, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019.

Eli was born on April 9, 2002 in Huntsville, Alabama. to Edward Junior Spray, Jr. and Amanda Veteria Winston. Along with his parents, Eli is survived by his step-father, Chris Choat; sisters, Sandra Alice Spray and Emma Louise Choat; grandparents, Edward Junior Spray, Sr., Rita Mae Arthur, and Winford Dwight Winston; great grandmother, Helen Veteria Arthur; aunts and uncles, Anita & Greg Kimberley and Sandra & Joey Balch; several cousins, countless friends, and his DAR football family.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Susan Ann Spray; and great grandparents, James Calvin Arthur and Bernice Brazier Spray.

A senior, Eli was a starter for the Kate Duncan Smith DAR High School football team, wearing #77. Aside from that, Eli was known for his big heart, sunny disposition, and his desire and ability to make people laugh.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Grant First Baptist Church with Mark Hasting and David Powell officiating. The DAR senior football players will serve as pallbearers. Burial followed in Kirby Cemetery in Langston.
