Marshall Medical Centers EMS stations are accepting toys, personal hygiene products, blankets, coats and other items. The donations they received will be going to the Child Advocacy Center of Marshall County.

Chasity Twilley organized the whole thing. She said a list was sent to EMS department on what the children needed and they worked on getting those items.

She said they are happy to be able to share a smile with those in need. They do not get to see many smiles in their profession.

“They call us when they have an emergency, and for us to be able to go out of our way to provide a smile for a child and a family and take the burden off a mom and dad who may not be able to do it all the way this year, it just kind of blesses our hearts,” said Twilley.

If you would like to donate to EMS, they are accepting donations in their Boaz and Guntersville locations behind the hospitals through Dec. 15.
