Kappler's facility in the Mountain Crest Industrial Park is lined with cherry trees. And that's all the doing of Kappler founder George Kappler.

When Kappler first came to Guntersville in the early 1970s, he noticed cherry trees in bloom around the Guntersville Recreation Center. He was very impressed by their beauty.

Several years later, he planted his own cherry trees around the Kappler campus for the company's employees and visitors to enjoy.

In the 1990s, Kappler made a contribution to the city of Guntersville so more cherry trees could be planted for all to enjoy. Some of those trees can still be seen near Guntersville High School.

Kappler's facility has just received the Business Pride Award from Marshall County PALS for keeping the grounds looking good.
