A Grant man has been charged with possession of crystal meth.

Assistant chief deputy Steve Guthrie said Lt. Tom Sorrell was attempting to serve a warrant on a subject for domestic violence by strangulation. He located Kurtis Scott Johnson on Whitaker Drive in Grant and placed him under arrest.

“Johnson was found to be in possession of crystal meth and and a syringe,” Guthrie said. “He was charged with domestic violence by strangulation, unlawful possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a parole violation.”
