Laura Braswell, a mother of two, marketing coordinator for a dental practice, and Guntersville transplant has launched an etiquette training program for children in grades 3-8. She calls it the “the Lakeside Social Club.”
She said she has a passion for civility and originally became interested after completing etiquette programs herself as a youth in youth in Dallas, Texas.
"Over the last few decades, it seems that the majority of what we hear about is a steady decline in not only the practice of good manners, but also the comprehension of the need for good manners, Braswell said. “I hope these classes will help our community recognize the importance of having good manners plays in the satisfaction and enjoyment we all receive from the society in which we live.”
Lakeside Social Club’s debut is set for this fall and registration has begun. A parent’s reception and registration is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 11 from 2-3 p.m, at Gunter’s Landing Golf Club. Meet Laura Braswell and learn more information about the program.
