Finlay Plaza at 1473 Sunset Drive is getting a new Dollar Tree store. It’s scheduled to open Thursday, June 27, and will have 9,800 square feet, company spokesman Kayleigh M. Painter said.

Dollar Tree stores are open seven days a week and offer a broad assortment of merchandise all priced at $1 or less, Painter said. New merchandise arrives weekly, with items ranging from seasonal decor, household products, party and craft supplies, dinnerware, food, teaching and school necessities, health and beauty essentials, toys, books and more.

A store of this size typically employs 12 to 20 associates, Painter said. Interested applicants can apply online at or in person at the store location.

“Dollar Tree continues to grow and we are proud to be part of the Guntersville community,” Painter said.

This will be Dollar Tree’s second store in Guntersville. Their other store is near Belk in the Big Spring Village shopping center at the top of the mountain.
