The Bridge Trail

The new walking trail to the river bridge just lacks conduit for lighting and it will be ready to pave.

It only took a couple of weeks for the city’s Public Works crew to get the new walking trail roughed in from Lurleen Drive to the river bridge . The base is down. The shoulders have been dressed.

It looks like it’s ready to pave. But it’s not.

“The next part of the project will be running conduit for lights,” said Charlie Minor of the Public Works Department. He said that work will be done in conjunction with the Guntersville Electric Board.

“We won’t be ready for paving until that is done,” Minor said.
