Two people were arrested on Monday, June 17, in Grant on drug charges.
Leisa Baker and Terry Brandon Williams were charged with drug trafficking, unlawful possession of marijuana, illegal possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
This was an ongoing investigation headed by the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force, FBI Safe Streets Task Force and Marshall County Drug Task Force, assistant chief deputy Steve Guthrie said.
Both arrests are believed to be connected in a drug trafficking organization that directly affects the Grant area, Guthrie siad.
He said these arrests should make a major impact on the flow of crystal meth in Marshall County. There will be more arrest to come because agents are still working on dismantling the organization.
Baker's bond is set at $100,000.
Williams was also charged with methamphetamine possession, drug paraphernalia 1st offense, buying/receiving stolen property, illegal possession of prescription pills, possession of marijuana 2nd degree, drug trafficking, 8 counts of failure to appear/comply/pay and conditional release violation. Williams' bonds totaled more than $1 million.
