Bill Waddell asked the Guntersville Planning Commission for permission to re-subdivide the former Lake City Amusement Park property on Reed Road.

That sparked a discussion between the Planning Board and Reed Road residents about the problems of through-traffic on that road. When there’s a shift change at the nearby Farm Fresh plant, an onslaught of traffic uses Reed Road to get to the traffic signal at Red Barn Road and Highway 431 to turn south towards Albertville and Boaz. There is not a traffic light at the actual entrance to the Mountain Crest Industrial Park.
