Pluma Sims Marsh, 91, of the Sims Community in Guntersville, died November 29, 2019. She died at home with her loved ones by her side. She had been with Heartline Hospice for the past two weeks.
Born August 23, 1928, she was a lifelong resident of the Sims Community. She was married to Glyn Mars for approximately 58 years. She was the daughter of the late Jim Sims Jr. and Pearl Sims. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 5 sisters. She was one of seven girls with no brothers.
She is survived by her three children, Glyn Wayne Marsh (Frances), Stanley Marsh and Teresa Lyles (Larry); 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pluma loved spending time with her family and loved her church family at Pleasant Hill. She was still able to attend church occasionally, until about two months ago.
She was a partner with her sister in Hall's Flowers in Guntersville for many years.
Funeral services were held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Sims Community on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Rev. Chris Reeves, Rev. Joey Grant, Rev. Gene Lambert, and her son-in-law Larry Lyles conducted the service. Pallbearers were her grandsons and nephews.
