Jeanine Adeline Wilkinson was born in Thomaston, AL on December 12, 1932, to Walter "Pop" and Kate Wilkenson. She married Ray Brannum on September 13, 1952, and passed peacefully in their home on December 21, 2021, surrounded by her husband and family.
Jeanine would have said her primary role as a young wife and mother was to raise children with strong family values, and most vacations were spent travelling cross-country to visit in-laws and to explore the U.S.
As her children were graduating high school and college, she worked as a real estate agent and office manager for Century 21. In recent years, she worked side-by-side with her husband Ray in his commercial appraisal business. Jeanine had an exceptional work ethic and even though she had battled cancer for several years, she rarely missed a day of being in her office. She had been under hospice care since April and worked until a week before her death.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Brannum; sons, John (Cindy) Brannum and George Brannum; daughters, Teressa (Johnny) Marson and Norma Kate (Sam) Wolford; brother, Ralph Wilkenson; grandchildren, Dathan Clines, Joash Clines, Adam Brannum, Caitlyn Wolford, Waid Wolford, Amelia Wolford, Raigen Brannum and Ryleigh Brannum; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter "Pop" and Kate Wilkenson; brothers, Coleman Wilkenson and James Wilkenson.
Her service was Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville, AL.
