Jeb Harrell

Jeb Harrell

Jacob Riley "Jeb" Harrell of Guntersville passed on July 27, 2022, of complications from an infection. He had developed meningitis from that infection. He was only 32. 

The son of Al Harrell Jr. and Shannon Gunn, Jeb was a former Brindlee Mountain basketball player. His family has established a basketball scholarship at the school in his memory. 

Jeb loved spending time with his daughter, family and friends. He liked to skateboard and play basketball. He was a Christian. 

He worked at Westco in Huntsville. 

He was as generous in death as he was in life. He gifted his organs to Legacy of Hope and they were able to help three organ recipients. His hair is being donated to Pantene, where it will be made into a wig to help a cancer patient. 

He is survived by his parents, Al Harrell Jr. and Shannon Gunn; his daughter, Marleigh Grace Harrell; a brother, Zach Harrell; as well as many extended family members and friends. 

A graveside service was held August 7 at City Cemetery with Pat Shaw, Sharon McClendon Price and Jim Lantis officiating.
