Pelmer Saint, 75, of Grant, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Huntsville Hospital.
The son of Earl Thomas & Bertha Rose Smith Saint, Pelmer was born in Marshall County on March 10, 1946. Pelmer was a former Marshall County Commissioner for District 2 and was Materials Supervisor for Marshall County School until he retired.
He enjoyed gardening and sharing with others what he grew. Keeping his yard up was something he liked to do. He also restored antique cars and attended car shows up until his health declined. Mr. Saint was a member of the Grassy Mountain Holiness Church. Going to church was very important to him.
Pelmer is survived by his wife, Sue Saint; one daughter, Guinnett Russell (Richard); one son, Jason Saint; one grandson, Peyton Russell; twin brother, Elmer Saint (Sarah); a sister, Joyce Allen; a stepdaughter, Kelly Rucks (Stacey); two stepsons, Kevin Meeker and Christopher Meeker; two step-grandchildren, Kolby Rucks and Ashley Rucks; his special pet Dixie; and several nieces and nephews and many many friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Saint; a brother, Donald Saint; and two sisters, Doris Brown and Janice Elliott.
