Mr. Sampson Dewey “Sam” Lee, 62, of Grant, Alabama, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022, at his home.
Sam was born in Jacksonville, Florida, to Hobart Sr. & Margie Nell Lee. He was a lifelong diehard Florida Gators fan. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for several years, a job he really enjoyed. He also served as a volunteer for many many years with the Hebron Fire Department.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Free Home Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Lee is survived by his daughter, Sabrina Garrett; step-daughter, Donna Long; step-son, David Cunningham; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Becky Lee Phillips; brother, Richard Lee; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Lee; son, Robbie Cunningham; siblings, Agnes Bruce, Hobart Lee, Jr., and Everett Lee; and his parents, Hobart Sr. & Margie Nell Lee.
