Regarding your article “Southside drops ‘United’ from name,” why didn’t you tell the “rest of the story” as Paul Harvey would say.
Everyone who doesn’t live under a rock knows that the reason for the split is a difference of opinion on LBBTQ rights, and the splits are happening in many other Methodist churches.
Why are there so many offshoots of churches (not just Methodist)? Because people want their beliefs to suit their own purposes. It’s not God’s will – it’s theirs.
