Anthony Loudermilk

Anthony Dewayne Loudermilk Sr., age 46 of the Swearengin community, passed away Friday afternoon, November 20, 2020. He was born March 12, 1974, in Scottsboro, Alabama, the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Loudermilk.

On May 12, 1999, he married Julie Ann Smith of Jackson County, Ala. These two met when Mr. Loudermilk was 17 years old and it was love at first sight.

Julie Ann was his saving grace and she stood by his side through thick and thin. She held his hand through his battle with pancreatic cancer and nursed him back to health. She was his guardian angel.

Mr. Loudermilk is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Loudermilk; two sons, A.J. Loudermilk and Blake Wilson: siblings Darlene (Greg) Lovvorn, Lamar Loudermilk, Terry Loudermilk, Janice (Casey) Smith, Jerry Loudermilk, Shirley Loudermilk and Patrick Loudermilk; three grandchildren; twenty nieces and nephews; and four great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, R.W. Loudermilk.

Visitation for Mr. Loudermilk was Monday evening at Grant Memorial Chapel,with the funeral service being held Tuesday with Richie Burns officiating. Burial followed in Gunter Mountain Memory Garden.
