The Guntersville Aquacats held their annual end-of-season banquet on Friday night in the Guntersville Rec Center community room. Many swimmers were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments this season with high point awards in each event, age group and overall divided by gender. Trophies for Most Improved in each age group were also given out, as well as plaques for the three seniors on the team. Several swimmers were also recognized for their good attitudes, team spirit and hard work throughout the season.

This year, Coaches Claire Megehee, Sarah Peel, Marcel Van der Wel and Liza Kate Edwards came up with fun “Paper Plate Awards” to hand out, which they personalized for each swimmer and included categories like the “Secret Weapon Award” and the “Nemo Award.”
