The DAR Lady Patriots jumped out to an early lead on their way to a 63-51 win over the Douglas Eagles in Grant last Thursday.

The Patriots led at all the breaks. Quarter scores were 14-6, 27-21 and 36-28. The Lady Eagles didn't go down easy, but DAR made 20 of 25 from the free throw line in the 4th quarter to secure the win. Lauren Buchanan led DAR with 21 points followed by Kassidy Allen with 17, Kate Bolin with 13 and Tori Nickell with 11. Tori Rojek scored 16 points and Sydnie Sanders added 12 to lead Douglas.

In varsity boys action, Douglas came out on fire knocking down five treys in the opening quarter en route to a 60-36 win over DAR. The Eagles led 24-13 at the end of the 1st quarter and 34-22 at the half. The lead was extended to 47-30 at the end of three. A.J McCamey was the leading scorer for the Patriots with 10 points. Douglas was led by Raygan Edmondson with 22 points.
